I’m Todd Whitlock, owner of Franklin IT Solutions.

More than 20 years ago, I started The HelpDesk Company. Our mission was to provide smaller companies in Richmond with predictable, worry-free IT solutions by:

  1. Doing the job right the first time, and—as much as possible—
  2. Preventing problems before they occur

Those values were instilled in me by my mother. Over and over, she reminded me, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

Later, I learned that Benjamin Franklin, America’s original entrepreneur, is the one who coined that phrase.

I’m convinced that if Benjamin Franklin were alive today—and if he operated an IT company—he’d run it on those two values: Fix problems right, and—wherever possible—stop them before they start.

That’s why The HelpDesk Company is now Franklin IT Solutions. We believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
